Funeral services for Chloe G. McKinney, 79, of McKinney, who died Wednesday at North Texas Medical Center, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Michael Haynes and Lois Cooper officiating. Interment will be in Ridgeview Memorial Park with Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in charge of the services.
McKinney was born March 2, 1907 in Brownwood County, the daughter of C. M. Chesnutt and Angeline Stone, and married Joe M. McKinney, Jan. 14, 1927 in Bangs.
She was a housewife, member of the First United Methodist Church of McKinney for 60 years, member of the United Methodist Women's Club, lifetime member of the En Avant Club, a heritage guide, North Texas Women's Auxiliary member, Pink lady, and a Red Cross Gray Lady.
Survivors include her son, Joe Charles McKinney and wife Mary P. McKinney, both of Albuquerque, New Mexico; brother, Billy Howard Chesnutt of Kingsville; sister-in-law, Clara Reddell of McKinney; brother -in-law, Ridgell McKinney of Tyler; grandson Charles Collin McKinney of Lubbock.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of McKinney's historical organ find.
